Evidence of Student LearningValid and reliable assessment of student learning is gathered over time through a variety of avenues.
i) Observations: What is observed about student learning through their on-going, day to day learning process. ii) Conversations with Students: What students show and explain about their learning and understanding. iii) Student Work: What student work demonstrates about what they know and can do in relation to the learning destinations. So, to answer the question, 'What is assessed?'…. EVERYTHING!! The Proficiency Scale - The Basis of B.C.'s New Reporting StandardsThe designation IE - Insufficient Evidence - is also used.

Classroom Expectations
My goal is that all of my students enjoy their time in my class, and that they have fun while learning a lot and being successful. To make the most out of your learning opportunities at GMS it is important that you practice the three R’s.
Respect Yourself
Respect Others
Respect Your Environment
WE WILL WORK TOGETHER TO DECIDE ON COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS THAT WORK FOR ALL OF US.These will then be displayed for the year in our classroom. When can you find me outside of class time? Room 145 and online! [email protected] Please do not hesitate to reach out if you need help or if you have a problem. |
